How to export and import your data models?

Exporting a data model (that is the configuration of a workspace but without the data inside) can be very useful to share it with others for example or to reuse it in another workspace (for another client for example). It allows you to standardize the way you work on your different projects and save time when setting up.

And as you will see, it is very simple.

Go to your home page and click on the 3 vertical dots of the workspace you want to export, then click on "Export workspace".

A pop-up appears, click on "Confirm" to start the download. In your downloads you should find a file .cpz of your workspace name ( ex : “Cabinets Comptable.cpz” ).

We advise you not to open the file, you can, but we warn you: it is rather indigestible 😂

Now that we have exported our model, let's see how to import it into Compozz. Again, it is very simple. Go to your home page and click on "Import from a file" on the bottom right.

Choose the file to import in the pop-up that opens and validate. After a few seconds your imported data model appears on the home page.

Go take a look inside. The settings of the objects, views and dashboards have been kept during the export of the initial model.

Of course, you can modify the name and appearance of the workspace and make all necessary adjustments to your new data model.

You are now ready to fill your new workspace with new data!
